Our Partners

Our Partners

Coordinating and leveraging our efforts is one of the hallmarks of Global Communities’ approach across the globe and the inspiration for our tagline 'Partners for Good’. What truly distinguishes us in our work is our ability to develop close working relationships and partnerships between our organization and community organizations that put our target communities at the forefront of their own development. Our focus on community partnerships has helped to build trust and understanding between ourselves and local stakeholders, facilitating our work and ensuring the effectiveness of our work. Locally, we put this into practice by identifying synergies and working in partnership with the public, private and civil society sectors.

Below is a list of some of the key Global Communities partners in West Bank and Gaza, with links to their websites.

Government partners: Our programs are typically done in partnership with a government counterpart from the Palestinian National Authority. Our key ministerial partners include:

Ministry of Local Government
Ministry of Education and Higher Education
Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities
Ministry of Environment
Ministry of Public Works & Housing
Higher Council for Youth and Sports
Injaz Palestine

In addition, our local government work has been done in partnership with over 60 local municipalities and village councils across the West Bank & Gaza.

Local Organizations: Our local civil society partners are also critical to the success of our initiatives. They include:

Sharek Youth Forum: Global Communities is implementing the Youth Shadow Local Council initiative in partnership with Sharek.
Engineering Association – Jerusalem Center (EAJC): Global Communities is implementing the Engineering Fellows program and many green building initiatives in collaboration with EAJC and the Palestinian Higher Green Building Council.
Arab World For Research & Development (AWRAD): AWRAD has provided critical baseline and mid-term assessment and evaluation support, contributing to organizational learning and constant improvement in implementation approaches.
Palestinian Contractors Union (PCU): Global Communities is supporting the PCU in becoming a stronger association that provides more enhanced services to members.
Global Communities also works actively with the private sector, most recently with the Bank of Palestine and Khatib & Alami.
