On a quarterly basis, Global Communities (CHF International) distributes food assistance to 14,222 vulnerable families across the Gaza Strip through its Food Security Program (FSP). This includes flour, lentils, dried chick peas, vegetable oil, and salt. The FSP is funded by the World Food Programme (WFP) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). More than half of the beneficiary families reside in Gaza City, where distributions are being conducted this week. Today alone, nearly 1,000 families received their assistance from our warehouses.
