Hebron launches the Strategic Development and Investment Plan
Hebron Municipality, with the support of Global Communities, launched the process of developing Hebron City’s first Strategic Development and Investment Plan (SDIP) based on the national SDIP manual recently modified by the Ministry of Local Government. The launch took place in the form of an open meeting held last week, and was attended by approximately 200 people representing the residents of Hebron City, and representatives from local NGOs, the public and private sectors, Hebron governorate, and Palestinian Authority (PA) ministries. Global Communities is implementing SDIP support across the West Bank under the USAID-funded Local Government and Infrastructure (LGI) program. The SDIP process, which will take approximately seven months to complete, includes developing a vision for the city, strategic objectives, investment plans, and a plan for monitoring and evaluating progress.
