2014 Gaza Crisis
For 20 years, Global Communities (CHF) has delivered humanitarian aid to Palestinians in Gaza. In response to the current crisis and the escalating emergency humanitarian situation, we are increasing our assistance to provide emergency humanitarian support. Since July 7, 2014, 500 Palestinians have been killed, over 3,000 injured, and nearly 120,000 displaced. Approximately 2,000 homes have been destroyed or severely damaged.
Global Communities is providing food assistance, shelter kits for homeless families, personal and home hygiene kits and other essential items, and psychosocial support for the tens of thousands of traumatized children in Gaza.

The following is the procurement request for bids announced in the local newspapers for supplies to be delivered to Gaza.

In response to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, Global Communities (formerly CHF International) provided emergency food parcels to 1000 internally displaced families. The parcels were delivered on Friday to three UN Shelters in Gaza City.
Each parcel contained bottled water, powdered milk, cheese, jam, zaatar, and canned goods including foul, humous, peas, beans, olives, meat, and tuna. If the situation permits, Global Communities will distribute parcels to an additional 1000 families today. This emergency assistance is being funded by USAID.
