Lana Abu-Hijleh is a Palestinian-American development expert working for the past 25 years with international agencies in Palestine and the region. She served as the Deputy Resident Representative of the UNDP Program of Assistance to the Palestinian People for over 17 years focusing on development policy, resource mobilization and multi sector program management. Since 2003, Lana has been the Country Director for Global Communities (formerly CHF) in West Bank and Gaza.
She is also a recognized civic leader actively involved in several International and Palestinian non-governmental professional, development, cultural, and business organizations including the Global Young Presidents Organization (YPO), the Aspen Institute Global Leadership Network, Partners for a New Beginning, the Palestinian Business Women Forum, Bisan Center for Research and Development, Riwaq Center for Architectural Conservation, El-Funoun Dance Troupe, and the Young Scientists Forum.
