With a majority of votes for female candidates, 8 young women and 5 young men were elected yesterday to the Birzeit Youth Local Council (YLC). The 13 newly elected members form the first YLC ever in the town, and the 16th YLC that CHF International in partnership with Sharek have started in the West Bank under USAID funding.
